Wow, Talk About Coincidences
It's pretty good that I decided to upgrade my account to a paid one when I did.

Since Basic accounts (ad-free) no longer exist. So now I can't go back to that. It's good, because I hate Plus accounts. Ugly ad. So now I guess I'm forced to stay with the better paid account.

It's spending money, but what the Hell. $2.50 a month (paying once every two months is $5) isn't gonna kill me.

Edit: Greatestjournal really is dying (http://www.greatestjournal.com/create.bml). Sucks. Glad I've moved. I was worried it was going to die then somehow find a miracle "cure" and resurrect itself. Glad it's not happening. Since I'm forking money over to LJ and all.

Sorry, random commenter here.

Basic accounts actually do still exist, and you would be able to revert back to a Basic account. It's just new accounts that are affected; new accounts created after March 12th or so won't be able to become Basic accounts; any account created before then can still switch just fine.

(not that it makes it that much better, but I just wanted to let you know. I just found you randomly :D)

Thanks so much ciaran h for the clarification!

I couldn't really fully understand what was going on. I thought I lost the Basic account option along with the new accounts created.

Thanks for clearing that up! And I welcome random people, haha.

Wow, you upgraded your account to a paid one? I didn't think the basic accounts had to have ads though, because mine doesn't ... or am I just blind? Oh well, LJ is awesome anyways lol.

I've never heard of greatestjournal... I think I need to get out more hehe, too cooped up playing games and doing assignments lol. So, how have you been lately?

Well, like the user above me said, I got it wrong. D=

It's for people who get LJs after the begining of March that have Plus accounts. But if you already have a Basic, you keep it.

And yup, I got a Paid LJ. It's very cheap so I decided why not!
